रेल मंत्री पीयूष गोयल ने युवाओं को बड़ी राहत देते हुए रेलवे के ग्रुप डी (चतुर्थ श्रेणी) पदों के लिए आईटीआई की अनिवार्यता समाप्त कर दी है। अब पूर्व की भांति दसवीं पास छात्र ग्रुप डी के पदों के लिए आवेदन कर सकेंगे।
Group D Age Limit
Applicants who are minimum 18 years old and maximum 31 years as on 01-07-2022. Relaxation in age will be given as per the central govt. rule & regulations.
Railway Group D Application Fee
Candidates applying for the Posts in this CEN have to pay the prescribed fee as per their category detailed-
- For All candidates except the fee concession categories :- Rs.- 500/-
- For Candidates belongs to SC/ST /Ex-Serviceman /PWD /Female /Transgender/ Minorities / Economically backward Classes: – Rs- 250/-
- This fee of Rs. 250 shall be refunded duly deducting bank charges, on appearing in CBT.
Online fee payment through mode closes on 12-03-2018 at 13:00 Hrs in any branch of SBI. Post office challan payment mode closes on 10-03-2018 at 13:00 Hrs in any branch of Computerized Post Office.

रेलवे ने अब ग्रुप डी भर्ती के लिए लेवल-1 की एक ही परीक्षा कराने का निर्णय लिया है। पहले दो कंप्यूटर आधारित परीक्षाएं होती थी उच्च स्तरीय समिति की रेलवे बोर्ड को दी रिपोर्ट के आधार पर यह फैसला लिया गया है। रेलवे भर्ती बोर्ड के लेवल-1 और एनटीपीसी परीक्षाओं में गड़बड़ी के विरोध में प्रदर्शनकारियों की सभी मांगे मानते हुए यह फैसला हुआ है।रेलवे ने कहा है कि एनटीपीसी के रिक्त पदों के लिए दूसरे चरण की कंप्यूटर आधारित परीक्षा (सीबीटी) में शॉर्टलिस्ट उम्मीदवारों की संख्या अलग-अलग श्रेणियों में रिक्त पदों से 20 गुना अधिक होगी। पहले क्वालीफाई घोषित उम्मीदवार क्वालीफाई रहेंगे। शॉर्टलिस्ट होने वालों की सूचना अलग से देंगे।
